What's Included

1. Standard Cedar Railings

The Standard Cedar Railings use #1 Grade Cedar 1x3 balusters spaced 4 inches apart, topped with a 2x4 handrail. We sand each baluster and round the edges to prevent splintering.

If selected, the bottom railings match the top railings.

The standard railing height is 32 inches from the floor. For taller or shorter railings, please consult your Project Advisor.

We preassemble the railings in sections for easy attachment to the posts with the provided screws.

2. Standard Braces

The standard cedar braces feature a 45-degree angle and square your gazebo's corners. These braces also support both the gazebo posts and roof. They are crafted from #1 Western Red Cedar 2x8s, joined with the upper railing section to form a single unit.

This entire section easily attaches to the top of the posts using the provided screws. A distinctive "half-moon" cut adds a graceful, yet simple touch.

We omit corner braces on the gazebo's entryway section.

3. Laminated Cedar Braces

The standard laminated post for the Gazebo measures 3 ½” x 3 ½” square. The Gazebo uses 5x5 laminated posts for models 18’ and wider. Vinyl Gazebos feature 3 ½” x 3 ½” posts covered by a 4x4 vinyl sleeve. Laminated posts deliver a top-of-the-line quality structure.

Although the finished product looks like solid lumber, they actually construct the posts by gluing boards together. They plane and sand the posts to achieve a virtually seamless finish.

This process yields a superior quality product, significantly reducing the likelihood of warping or twisting. The standard height of the posts from the floor is 78”.

Note: Taller posts or heavier 6x6 posts may be obtained by consulting with a Project Advisor. Larger gazebos or structures requiring additional snow or wind resistance may necessitate larger posts.

4. 100% Cedar Cupola

The word "cupola" (pronounced cu'-puh-luh) comes from the Latin translation meaning "little cupo" or "little dome." People often describe it as a "roof over a hole in the roof." Originally, people used the cupola for ventilation, but now it's mainly decorative.

The cupola has a red cedar body and shingles that match the gazebo's shingles. It provides a finishing touch to the backyard getaway. Cupolas are standard features on all Octagon and Square Gazebos and are optional for Oval and Rectangular styles. Ventilation is provided in all cupolas on Octagon and Square gazebos.

5. 30 Year Architectural Asphalt Shingles

These heavyweight 30 year architectural asphalt shingles feature a triple-layer fiberglass mat construction with a random cut middle and top saw tooth design. They coat the three layers of mat with asphalt, surface them with mineral granules, and then laminate them together with special asphalt adhesive. A self sealing strip of asphalt helps provide added wind resistance.

Most kits shipped with asphalt shingles do not have the shingles applied to the roof section, as it would become too heavy for safe transportation.

The standard shingles are manufactured by TAMKO Building Products. If you are using a shingle that is not our standard and made by another manufacturer, ask your Project advisor to provide Florida Approvals if it applies. Florida Approval # FL18355-R6.

6. Red Cedar Finished Ceiling

A finished tongue and groove ceiling gives your gazebo a more finished look! The material used will match the material used to make your gazebo.

Please notes that each of these components are customizable at an extra price.

For example if you do not like the colour of the shingles, it can be changed to a different colour. Or if you do not like the style of the braces, we have other styles that you can choose from. If you are interested in exploring your customization options please reach out to a project manger who will assist you further.

Round Fire Pit Table FAQs Answered

Does a fire pit need to be round?

No, fir pits don't have to be round. While round fire pits are popular due to
their traditional shape and ease of creating an even heat distribution,
fire pits come in various shapes such as square, rectangular, or custom
designs. The shape you choose depends on your personal style, the
available space, and how you plan to use the fire pit.

What is the purpose of a tabletop fire pit?

A tabletop fire pit is designed to provide warmth and ambiance in a compact, convenient form. It’s ideal for small spaces like patios, balconies, or outdoor dining areas. It can also be used for decorative purposes, and certain models allow for functions like roasting marshmallows. Tabletop fire pits add an inviting atmosphere while offering a portable and low-maintenance option compared to larger fire pits.

How do you maintain a fire pit?

Maintaining a fire pit involves:

Cleaning it regularly: Remove ash and debris after each use.
Inspecting for rust or damage: For metal fire pits, clean any rust and repair damages.
Covering it: Use a cover when not in use to protect it from the elements.
Seasonal maintenance: Before winter, thoroughly clean it and apply rust-preventing solutions if necessary.

How to protect a fire pit from rain?

Use a cover: A weather-resistant cover helps keep water out and prevents rust.
Store indoors: If your fire pit is portable, move it to a dry space during rainy weather.
Drain holes: Ensure your fire pit has proper drainage to avoid water buildup.

How do I make sure my fire pit is safe?

Place it on a fire-resistant surface: Avoid placing it on grass, wooden decks, or near flammable materials.
Keep a safe distance: Position it at least 10-20 feet away from structures or overhanging trees.
Use a spark screen: This prevents embers from flying out.
Avoid flammable liquids: Don’t use gasoline or other accelerants to start the fire.
Supervise: Never leave a fire pit unattended, especially when children or pets are nearby.
