No conversion kit needed! Your natural gas Capertee fire pit arrives ready to connect. For safety, we recommend professional installation.

Conversion kits are for propane-to-natural gas (or vice versa) conversions only.

Does it come with a burner cover?

Yes, the Capertee square fire pit comes with a custom-fit aluminium cover for the burner. Simply place the lid over the fire pit to transform it into a covered coffee table.

Do I need to purchase a fire pit cover separately?

A UV protected fire pit canvas cover is included with your fire pit purchase.

What is the total weight of the Capertee Fire Pit Package package?

The fire pit weighs 206lbs and with the box and pallet included it weighs between 256lbs - 296lbs

Do You Let a Fire Pit Burn Out?

Yes, it's the safest way to extinguish a fire pit. Here's why:

  • Safety: Letting the fire burn out naturally avoids using water, which can cause hot coals and embers to crackle and potentially spread.
  • Efficiency: Water can turn hot coals to steam, making it harder to completely extinguish the fire.

Here's how to properly let your fire pit burn out:

  • Stop adding fuel: Don't add any more wood or logs to the fire.
  • Let it cool: Allow the fire to burn down until the coals are cool to the touch (no embers). This can take several hours.
  • Check for embers: Use a metal tool to spread the ashes and double-check for any remaining hot embers.

Alternative (if necessary):

  • Sand or Gravel: If you need to extinguish the fire faster, carefully pour sand or gravel over the coals to smother them. Never use water.
