Create Your Dream Fire Pit in 3 Steps

Step 1: Select Gas Type

• Choose between Natural Gas or Propane. Make sure to pick the one compatible with your existing gas line.

Step 2: Select Burner Type 

• Standard Penta Burner: This burner has gas holes drilled into the stainless steel and offers a standard flame.
• Torpedo Penta Burner: This burner features precision-engineered nozzles for a larger and warmer flame, according to HPC, without using more gas.

Step 3: Choose Your Ignition Style

The HPC Square Custom Fire Pit enclosure kit offers three ignition options to suit your preference:

• Match Lit: This classic method uses a key valve to turn on the gas and a match, taper, or lighter to ignite the flame. You can then adjust and turn off the flame using the same key valve. (Simple and requires no additional power source)

• Push Button Flame Sensing: This option uses a spark probe to ignite the gas with a push of a button on the control panel. It also includes a safety feature that automatically cuts off the gas if the flame goes out. This system is battery-powered, making it ideal for locations without access to AC power. (Convenient and safe, good for areas without AC power)

• Electronic Ignition On/Off: This is the most advanced option, offering flame sensing like the Push Button system but with the added benefit of automatic re-ignition if the flame gets blown out. You can choose between two voltage options:

  • 120VAC: This model allows you to turn the fire pit on and off remotely using a wall switch, timer, whole-house system, or an optional remote control. (Most versatile, requires electrical wiring)

  • 24VAC: This model allows you to turn the fire pit on and off using a wall switch or your whole-house system. It requires a separate 24VAC transformer (sold separately) for remote control functionality. (Less versatile than 120VAC, requires additional transformer for remote control)

HPC recommends the HPC SEBCO 24VAC Power Supply for the 24VAC models if you desire remote control.
