Love the Hoopstr

Looks great and holding up very well. Everyone loves it! The ball is on the smaller side but I realized that is the way it should be. A standard sized basketball will work with this hoop but it would be way to heavy in case somebody got hit with it and a standard sized ball is not easily maneuvered in a pool. Super fun addition. We called before ordering because we had a couple questions. Hayley was great and helped us out.

Best Poolside Basketball Hoop!!

Hoopstr is an absolute blast! We’ve set it up on our tanning ledge, and it’s been non-stop fun for the whole family. Super easy to move around with the built-in wheels, and the ball storage is a nice touch. The setup was a breeze, and it's sturdy enough for endless games by the pool. Whether we’re shooting hoops or having a little family competition, this hoop adds the perfect amount of excitement to our backyard!

Assembly problems

Have not used yet BUT assembly was much more difficult than it should’ve been. Powdercoating on rim was too thick around holes for installation which prevented ss bolts from going through. Required filing then the bolts all had something painted on them. I assume to prevent galling but it did not work at all. Assembly would have been impossible with just the tools sent. I had to get my ratchet set out and allen wrench sockets to even get them remotely tight and even then they seized. I worked them in and out slowly to free up some of the gunk on the bolts and in the nut but even then one of the four holding on the rim seized before getting tight. The bottom two on the rim i had to put in from the opposite way because the support for the rim was in the was to get a socket in there and it was impossible to hold a regular allen wrench in while tightening the nut. A wrench could hold the nut on the front side of the rim while my allen wrench socket in and ratchet could tighten from the back. Should have been a very easy installation and i understand working with stainless steel can be difficult because of galling but a small packet of antisieze would have been invaluable. Not sure what was on the nuts and bolts but it didn’t help. Frustrating for sure especially considering how much it cost. Once together the quality seems nice except for the one rattling seized bolt that is stuck on the rim not tight and not able to loosen. The ball is alot smaller than I expected but i think that will be fine. Look foward to playing with it with the kids once it starts to warm up

How do I maintain my Hoopstr pool basketball hoop?

Cleaning is easy with this swimming pool basketball hoop. For routine cleaning, the base and backboard can simply be wiped down with water and a soft bristle brush or cloth. For a deeper clean, remove from the pool and use a mild household cleaner and eraser sponge​.

Remove calcium buildup with a calcium removal product​. Rim can also be cleaned with a soft cloth and mild solution of soap and water.

Can the Hoopstr be removed or stored when not in use?

This swimming pool basketball hoop is prepared to handle all elements of its poolside environment, so there’s no need to remove it after the game is over.

However, if you’d like to move things around, the integrated wheels make repositioning easy. If storing for long periods of time, be sure to drain the product away from the pool first.
